Psychotherapy and counselling
for adults in South Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex
Psychotherapy provides a safe, confidential, non-judgemental and supportive space where we can collaboratively explore difficult feelings and deepen our understanding of ourselves and our patterns of behaviour.
Understanding our past and how it has shaped us allows us to recognise when our familiar ways of being may not be in our best interests. Depression, anxiety, stress, concerns about compulsive behaviours, a lack of deep connection with others, or simply a general sense that life is not being lived to its full potential, represent just some of the feelings that can lead us to try therapy. The journey towards self-knowledge and self-acceptance can liberate and empower us to live richer lives and interact in more meaningful and authentic relationships.
I am committed to working with trauma on a societal level. Any community that has been discriminated against, any individual who has suffered abuse, whether physical, sexual, psychological, emotional or societal may be living with ongoing effects of trauma.
Integrative psychotherapy draws on a wide range of theories, including: psychodynamic, humanistic, inter-subjective, and body psychotherapy, and allows a flexible approach to respond to each individual's unique needs and issues.
My name is Harriet, I am a fully qualified UKCP-accredited integrative psychotherapist and adhere to UKCP's code of ethics. I am in regular supervision with a UKCP-accredited supervisor.
It is important to find the right therapist for you. Once we have met for an initial session, you can take some time to decide whether you'd like us to continue working together.
I work in a private, quiet room off Haverhill High Street with disabled access and parking nearby. I can also work online, on Zoom or on the telephone.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and I charge £45 per session. I have limited space for lower fees so please enquire if your circumstances currently make £45 unaffordable.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to arrange an initial session.
